You don’t have to get there fast. You just have to get there!

We live in a world that is full of go, go, GO!  With all of that speedy momentum around us, it is easy to feel like we want to get to where we want to be as fast as possible. While a strong desire to reach your goals is important, be aware of how quickly you are exhausting your motivation tank. Don’t start moving so fast that you run out of gas!

What can you do then to keep a steady pace that is sustainable?

Well to start, recognize that it’s not about doing everything at once. In fact, that can often be overwhelming! Instead, stay focused on the short-term goals that you want to accomplish today – whether that is choosing to drink more water or go for a walk. Focus on these “tiny step,” and enjoy a little surge of pride and joy with each small thing you accomplish. It adds up!
