Can you tell me a little bit about how you found out about Pack Health and what made you want to sign up?

I received a postcard in the mail, and it immediately grabbed my attention. I was really interested in a wellness program that would keep me accountable, while also providing the resources/knowledge to help me with my personal weight loss journey. I saw a video posted by Pack Health as well, which reminded me about the program.

I previously had bariatric surgery, so I was worried that I might not qualify for the program. But I was thrilled to hear I did!

We’re so happy to hear that! How has your experience been so far? How’s it been with Cheyenne?

I love the Tiny Step method. Each week, Cheyenne calls me on the phone and talks to me for about 15 minutes. She asks about the Tiny Steps we had planned for the current week and walks me through ideas for the weeks ahead. She also texts me almost every day with encouragement, which is incredibly helpful. Cheyenne takes the time to learn about me each week. The fact that she takes notes and makes the effort to personalize the program specific to me, helps me realize she is more of a friend or a coach. Accountability and motivation are a big deal for me, and Cheyenne is great with both of those.

Did you two set any specific Tiny Steps you’d like to share?

One of my Tiny Steps is to drink more water. I am supposed to get 64 oz. a day, which can be hard to do on a daily routine. Cheyenne helps me find more achievable goals that aren’t too out of reach, though. Another Tiny Step was to get 45 minutes of exercise, 5 times a week. I have been keeping up with this goal well and have since increased to an hour of exercise! Cheyenne will text me reminders throughout the week to make sure I am following through with my steps, and that has been really helpful. I also have been making sure to get enough protein after workouts, and am trying to be more aware of what i eat by looking at the food labels.

How has Pack Health helped you change your lifestyle to help you better function at work?

I am a nanny, so I’m always on the go. Cheyenne keeps that in mind and helps me plan accordingly, which really makes the health plan personalized for me. Cheyenne helps find ways to get physical activities in while I nanny, such as going for walks with the children. She also helps me prepare for the coming days so I’m not stressed about meals while I’m working. My relationship with Cheyenne feels more like a friendship or partnership than a check-list.

The biggest barriers for me are getting enough water intake and scheduling meals. Cheyenne talks through my meals with me, though, and helps me better understand when to eat/what to eat.

Would your recommend Pack Health to anyone?

Of course! I have been telling my family, specifically my parents, to look into it. My aunt works for Blue Cross and I have mentioned the Pack Health program to her. People ask me about my healthcare and I tell them how awesome it is to have the resources and accountability from a health advisor.

I think Pack Health is extremely beneficial for someone my age because it is the prime time to establish a healthy lifestyle and set a standard for how someone will want to live the rest of their life.
