What is your name and what condition-specific team do you work on? Please also include your background.
My name is Evan Hudson. I’m a member of our Immunology focused team, and I’ve got a bachelor’s degree in Community Health and Human Services from UAB.
Why do you work at Pack Health? What’s your favorite part of your job? Where do you get your inspiration?
I work at Pack Health because that’s where this crazy thing called life led me! My favorite part of my job is the motivation I see everywhere. I see it when I get to work, I hear it when I’m on the phone with my members, and I’m lucky to experience it every time someone reaches a goal. What’s more inspirational than that?
What’s your favorite healthy food and why?
Spinach for sure. It’s packed full of vitamins, minerals, and even a bit of protein. You can add it to anything for a quick nutrient boost.
What’s your favorite way to stay active and why?
I love walking. There’s no better time to think about the day, the week, the year, and just life in general. We get so distracted by everything in today’s digital world. A nice walk with no phone gives you time to catch up with everything going on in your head! Walking with good posture is great for the body too.
How else do you practice self-care?
I’m lucky to live blocks away from my job, Railroad Park, and all kinds of great areas to take a stroll. Any chance I can find to get outside and walk is the ultimate dose of self-care.
What advice do you have for someone just joining the program?
Your Health Advisor will be there for you no matter what kind of goal you set. Set a goal for YOU, not for anyone else. You know your body better than anyone! We’ll help you with accountability no matter what you set.
Share your favorite member story with us!
My members who choose to share their success with the community always make me smile. We had a big event at Pack Health this year, called Rise of the Rest, where the founder of AOL came to sit down and chat about our success as a start-up company. Some of our all-star members came to share their stories with his team, and I was honored to meet one of my own members!
